This Privacy Policy applies to Prepare UK: Pantry & Plans (shown as ReadyGuidance during development). It explains what information the app stores, what is sent over the internet, and your choices.
If you have questions or corrections, contact us at info@alsapp.co.uk.
1. What the app stores on your device
All of the following are stored locally on your device only. The developer does not receive this information through normal app use:
Household and pet details you enter; preparedness goals; checklists; water estimates; inventory names, categories, quantities, locations, targets and dates; photos you choose for items; barcode numbers; and reminder notification preferences.
The app has no sign-in, no account system, no cloud sync, no analytics, and no in-app advertising.
2. Camera use
The camera is used only when you choose to scan a barcode. Photos you take or choose for items stay on your device. The app does not access the camera at any other time.
3. Barcode lookups
When you request a barcode lookup, the barcode number is sent to Open Food Facts to retrieve product information. Open Food Facts and network providers may receive technical connection data such as your IP address as part of that request. Your household inventory, item photos and other local data are not sent.
Open Food Facts is an independent open-data project. Its privacy policy is at https://world.openfoodfacts.org/privacy.
Product data from Open Food Facts may be incomplete or inaccurate. Always check the product packaging for current information.
4. Reminders and notifications
If you enable reminder notifications, these are scheduled and delivered on your device. Notification preferences remain on your device and are not transmitted to the developer.
5. Exporting and sharing backups
When you use the export, share or copy backup feature, your backup data — which can include household details, checklists, supplies and item photos — is passed to whichever destination you choose (for example a cloud storage service, email or another app). The developer does not receive this data.
You are responsible for managing and deleting any copies you send to external destinations.
6. Deleting your data
Because all data is stored locally on your device, you can remove entries within the app, clear app or browser data through your device settings, or uninstall the app.
The developer cannot access or delete data stored only on your device.
7. Children
The app does not knowingly collect personal data from children. Because all data is stored locally on the user's device and the developer does not receive it through normal app use, no special collection of children's data occurs.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the effective date above when we do. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
